VISITS AND TALKS
I offer school visits nationally for years 4, 5 &6.
My class talks and assemblies encourage children to dive into their own creativity with readings and interactive creative writing exercises.

My assembly is fun and interactive, with a focus on creative writing. I describe being an author and how to find inspiration for stories. Using lots of engaging, collaborative exercises and short readings, my talk encourages children to embrace their own creativity, love of reading and ability to write.
I am DBS checked and charge a daily fee plus, if applicable, overnight stay and standard class rail travel or mileage.

I offer an Invent a Villain creative writing workshop for small groups of children. This workshop focuses on:
Creating narrative tension between the protagonist and villain in a story
Using inference, action words and interesting vocabulary to create rich characters
The five senses in storytelling and how to use them
Children will leave with the building blocks to create their very own extremely villainous villain!
-
I offer an online talk, which includes an introduction to my books and the life of an author (10 mins), a reading (5 mins) + a Q&A session for the children (15 mins).
